Shelter Nova Scotia

Alscott is a proud supporter of Metro Turning Point.

Metro Turning Point provides emergency shelter for men experiencing homelessness, including Veterans.

At Shelter Nova Scotia, they believe in a People First approach. This means that they work with people in a non-judgmental environment, while promoting compassion and dignity. By focusing on a People First approach, they provide shelter services based on Harm Reduction and Housing First principles. A Harm Reduction framework enables them to work with people who may experience multiple barriers to accessing services. Such barriers may include mental illness, addiction or concurrent disorders.
